privacy policy

We detest spam, spammers and all violations of privacy but when you use archbone, certain bits of information are collected.

(1) What information does archbone collect and what do we do with it??

We use to collect aggregate statistics including information about visits to and use of archbone, such as IP address, browser type, referral source, length of visit and number of page views. This information is used to improve the quality of the site.

We also record what links our users click on using a referral script written by Fluid Dynamics Software  and publish this information at for manufacturers to check.

We record the email addresses of companies and individuals who submit sites for inclusion on the site so that we can contact them if and when the link is included.

(2) Cookies

We indirectly use cookies as statcounter referred to above does. A cookie is a text file sent by a web server to a web browser, and stored by the browser. The text file is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. This enables the web server to identify and track the web browser.

You can refuse to accept cookies. For example, in Internet Explorer you can refuse all cookies by clicking “Tools”, “Internet Options”, “Privacy”, and selecting “Block all cookies” using the sliding selector. Doing so will have no effect on your use of archbone.

(3) Policy amendments

We may update this privacy policy from time-to-time

(4) Third party websites

Archbone contains links to other sites and we are not responsible for the privacy policies they have.
